Nintendo's Super Mario 3D World is a platform game released in November 2013 for the Wii U., It is the sixth original 3D platform game in the Super Mario series, and the sequel to Super Mario 3D Land (2011) for the Nintendo 3DS, in which Mario and his pals strive to save Sprixie-like creatures from Bowser, who has invaded the Sprixie Kingdom. Players must travel through individual stages to reach Bowser, as in previous versions of the series.

The game includes a character selection and introduces the Super Bell, a power-up that transforms the player into a cat and allows them to climb walls and use a scratch attack. On February 12, 2021, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, an improved port with new content, was published for the Nintendo Switch.

Super Mario 3D World received positive reviews for its level design, presentation, replay value, and soundtrack, while several critics criticized the multiplayer mode's unreliable camera. The Wii U version of the game was a financial success, selling more than 5.8 million units worldwide as of September 2020, making it the console's second best-selling game. The Switch version had sold over 5.5 million units globally as of March 2021. A total of 11.45 million pieces have been sold globally in both editions.
